Bluebizzy, those links from Apple were found using Google, and are samples of the many contracts Apple offers. All have the same "Apple hardware only" restrictions.

Yes, most (not all) Apple software have Apple hardware only restrictions. The steps I illustrated in my post have been compiled from a use case I put together for an Apple Developer getting access to all development tools to determine which contracts are required for agreeing to and which are not. Not from a Google Search. I suggest stepping through the whole process yourself from start to finish to see which legal agreements are required from the developer's perspective.

You are wrong. Review the GW architecture. The application and the OS are mounted on the GW server. Apple operating systems (iOS and OSX) are exclusively limited to Apple hardware. End of discussion.

You seem convinced that the Apple operating system (iOS and OS X) is being virtualized in its entirety within the Glassware stack in the traditional sense of hosting an instance of an Apple operating system as a virtual machine. However, this is not the case as explained through the Glassware architecture stack diagram. It is the microvisor that provides the bridge between the containerized application and the "Glassware Containerization Technology". In fact, Sphere 3D just released a video that explains this in detail. I encourage you to take a look and re-evaluated your assumptions. As this is a proprietary piece of technology, my assumption is the Microvisor is somehow emulating the open source XNU kernel that all Apple operating systems are based on.

Regardless, any description that includes the phrases "grey area" and "jailbreak" when describing Apple licence terms and processes won't fly very far in a large enterprise. Do you really believe a large enterprise, education, healthcare or government CIO is going to deploy thousands of devices and applications across an organization based on "jailbreaking" Apple licence terms?

Sorry, I used the wrong terms. What is being done here is not a "grey area". Nor is there any "jail breaking" tactics involved here (which I provided as an example to counter the requirement for subscribing to the iOS Developer Program which in itself is not mandatory to make the developed application available on Glassware.)

I know this board can get quite pro-Glassware as per the pitch fork mentality for labeling anyone that is against Sphere 3D. One thing for sure is that we are all passionate investors. We all have our ways to fully flesh out the market potential for Sphere 3D and have arrived to our own conclusions. So far, from my own DD and understanding, I remain long on ANY.

Derek, I wish you a happy new year as well and wish you best of luck in your investments. If you are indeed shorting ANY, I don't wish you luck with that :)
