They go and find a place to begin functioning and ultimately...re-establish those connections that are necessary for vision. And allow the patients to re-establish vision.
...Up till now it's been technically challenging to do this, almost essentially impossible. But the first hurdle was to be able to do this, and it's been done.
Special emphasis: Simple injection of cells behind the retina
The cells find there own way, BECAUSE of OCATs technology!!!
Let me double-emphasize: Before now, before OCAT, this was IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Do people really NOT understand how significant this is?
OCAT HAS DONE THE IMPOSSIBLE AND THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING FROM HERE FORWARD MEANING OCAT/ACTC's PAST IS MEANINGLESS
And this doesn't even consider the pipeline, animal stuff, unlimited blood. I can't even keep up with the pipeline.

They go and find a place to begin functioning and ultimately what the thesis would be is to re-establish those connections that are necessary for vision. And allow the patients to re-establish vision.
So, the goal of our studies has been obviously to establish that this is safe. Up till now it's been technically challenging to do this, almost essentially impossible. But the first hurdle was to be able to do this, and it's been done. And the second is to say now what does it do to vision? Does it destroy vision, does it enhance vision?
