Protocall Technologies, Inc. (OTC:PCLI) stock had its great trading day yesterday, although the intended promoter overslept and could not send the alerts. The share price gaped up all of sudden, apparently on no news or promotions, and the stock saw its absolute volume record.

The total jump reported at the end of the trading session yesterday was exactly 50% and the share closed at $0.0009 on the highest volume ever. Over 307 million shares were traded and the speculative PCLI stock got also high attention from shorters. Although 23% of the total volume consisted of shorted shares, such trading pattern is unlikely to result solely on the shorting, it resembles much more that of a heavy stock promotion.

Though, it remains unclear if any promotion were made. It looks like the promoter that intended to send the alerts was unable to do this because he "overslept". Further on, the disclaimer of the newsletter that went out in the evening says that the promoter has positions in all the featured companies, acquired before the promotion, and that the readers should assume he has received compensation for all mentioned stocks.

The latest properly disclosed promotion for PCLI date back to the end of June, when the share price was inflated above the one cent level. The company has no published financial reports and the latest SEC filings announced the resignation of two directors of Protocall Technologies, the first one left at the end of June and the second one at the end of September.

The latest press release of the company came out in August this year and basically it praised the professional skills and experience of a newly added senior consultant. More interestingly, the PR also said that the company is in the process of submitting its current corporate information and financials to the OTC markets homepage. That process takes obviously too long, but in the meantime traders are awarded with interesting videos on PCLI stock and its brilliant performance.
