IMO - with the current IMRIS system (MRI on rails - moves into the OR to the patient), only hospitals with a high end neuro surgical program can ever really justify buying one of these. Unless they have something else coming out soon, they seem to have a limited customer base. GE makes a similar solution, where they move the patient to the MRI, which is housed in a room connected to the OR with a door that opens for transport. There are some that believe moving the MRI will degrade the image quality as the magnet is not really designed to be moved and then immediately used to image. Mayo Clinic, the #1 Neuro Surgical program in the US, uses the GE solution over the IMRIS product. ISRG and soon Titan has the ability to sell a robot into just about any hospital in the US, making for constant revenue stream and a never ending funnel. This is why I like Titan so much!!
