Yes, since I've lived most of my life in CA Detroit was a bit odd to say the least. You literally drive along the lake with a jetty of rocks-end of lake on one side, lush green lawns and mansions on the other. A tall brick wall on both sides and double yellow line. And into downtown Detroit! On the other side is a highway separating delapadated housing and Grosse Pointe, simply weird and out of place for me!
