The high cost energy producers will be hurt financially, possibly even disabled,stalled, etc ... then when oil prices revert to a mean value ... it will take alternate energy even longer to come online. In a few months, oil should have bottomed and started trending up perhaps? Near term relative to oil in my mind is months, not days.
