Good News to start the morning...From Facebook.... "Seafarer Exploration continues to dive on Melbourne Site Two of the Melbourne Beach permitted areas. The diving conditions have continued to improve through the week with the water visibility increasing from zero on Monday 12/15/14 to five feet on Wednesday 12/17/14. The available ambient light on Wednesday was allowing the divers three feet of visibility without the aid of diver provided artificial lighting at depth. The divers are currently diving at a depth of fifty-five feet with the water temperature at depth of 62 degrees. Seafarer Exploration continued finding wreck material on Wednesday as well as artifacts. The wreck material and the artifacts require conservation efforts and will be done when instructed by the State of Florida. Once the wreck material and artifacts are conserved, Seafarers archeologist will be able to make a determination on the findings.
The weather forecast remains steady and Seafarers plan to continue dive operations through Friday remains the plan. Dive operations are always subject to change based on actual weather conditions.
