The inventory report will be based on last week when we had above avg warmer weather. I would say it is a leap to think it will be a "net positive" for nat gas.
Obviously what matters is what are the expectations by market & analysts for withdrawal vs what is going to be reported, and as always every Thursday that needs to be the mindset in terms of inventory report as a catalyst (whether negative for positive).
However, it is a stretch for anyone to expect or presume the report on Dec 18 to be overall positive for nat gas after the fact it will be based upon a lower demand week during a warm weather period.
