Quite the contrary. Bankruptcy concludes the story and ends any further losses for everyone.

I am not at all a proponent of BK and given a choice, would prefer a r/s. Luckily, I do not envision BK; unfortunately, I do envision another r/s along with the bottom dropping out once again.
