maniac, I don't think "Peak Oil" per se is a hoax, the main point cocerning Peak Oil is that the low hanging fruit (low priced oil) is being rapidly depleted and it's going to take an incredible amount of investment and TIME to get at much deeper reservoirs of oil. Here's a pretty good read on the matter.
