I actually like this idea. Companies repurchase their shares on the open market all the time. In fact, when a company thinks their stock is undervalued is the right time to exercise this option. Given our current substantial cash position over and above our current spending commitments, I think a share repurchase may be the best use of some of those funds.

Given that the company last sold stock at over $5 per share, they would be making over $2 million on a million share purchase. A commitment to buy up to a million shares at no more than $3.00 per share would be a fairly minor allocation relative to our $42 million cash position. This would have the effect of establishing a $3 floor and they would probably never be able to purchase the entire million share allotment anyway since there have been relatively few shares available below $3.

Volume is up today at 226k, but the 10 day average volume is only 128k. Today's increase may well be due to the anticipated margin calls from the price drop below $3. Volume may also be up again tomorrow and Monday due to those margin calls. A $3 "floor" would have negated those adverse effects.

Any of you who are in contact with Dr. Seymour please feel free to forward this verbiage to him, and his "ears". wink
