AZCUminer - a few questions...

In my opinion Florence Copper is a much more difficult project to permit than Gunnison.

Florence is zoned residential - Gunnison is not
Florence is close to a high population center - Gunnison is not
Florence's property is in an active state water management area - Gunnison is not.
Florence has current water usage on the property - Gunnison doesn't
Florence has native issues - Gunnison does not.
Florence has endangered species - Gunnison does not.
Florence has deep pocketed real estate interests opposing it - Gunnison does not.
Florence has no high federal level support at the board level - Gunnison does.
Florence has major impact in the case of a failure of control systems - Gunnison does not. They are in and around acid consuming rocks that neutralize acid.
and so on.

And yet Florence has almost all needed permits. The just received a draft EPA usage permit (60 day public consult period on technical issues only - see post #31) and I believe the state permits will get sorted out within 6 months.

My question is this. Is Gunnison easier to permit than Florence?

Gunnison is learning from all the issues with the Florence process and addressing the issues in advance. Will this help?

And finally, can you expand on my not having a clue? I really would like to learn why you think that.

Thank you and best regards.
