Blue...just because you speak to a broker who may have passed a series 7 or Canadian equivalent etc. ... does not mean they know everything...or even anything when it comes to anything beyond the vanilla day to day they handle.

Someone posted that they spoke to their Canadian broker who said Covered Shorts and Naked shorts were included in the 2.X Million shares shown "short"...

Only "borrowed" short shares are recorded...if a broker sell shares without locating and borrowing shares...they just sell the bid and owe the shares "at some time in the future"...no one records on the seller's side that the shares were sold short...they dont know.

There will be well beyond the 2.8 Million ...just how much is what we dont know...

(ps. Had a broker at Prudential Securities tell me he could not execute an options order because he had no idea how to access "puts" and "calls"...but he remembered from his test that they existed...guy had a good book of business...but all vanilla blue chip)
