I am new, about 3 months of experience. I mentally set my stop loss and get out for minimal loss. 2 times I ignored my "mental" stop loss and took bigger losses. Very good lessen learned. 5% gain is good enough for me in a week. 3 months I have lost about 20% net, and that's due to the 2 losses I mentioned above. If I would have stuck to my mental stop loss I would be up 17% in three months. I am very happy where I am at. One thing I do know is news makes stocks move.
I am always open to advise though because I am determined to make this work. Thanks for your post.
