As much as I want to believe it, I don't really think Rice's new research center is named after this company.
After all "Quantum Materials" is a pretty broadly construed term, and I believe it is used generically in this instance..
It's Kinda like if my local agricultural university, K-State, were to open a center for Barley Corn research. That doesn't mean it is about John Barleycorn's Pub.
But not being named after the company however, does not in any way preclude this from being the "coming out party". I am eager to find out.
Like I said, It would be wonderful if they named this facility after QTMM, but it doesn't really seem likely.
