The distinguished history of our basic and clinical scientists in making genetic discoveries, the power of the Utah Population Database to facilitate pedigree genetics, and the vision of the Utah Genome Project to bring genomics into clinical practice, have persuaded Dr. Soon-Shiong that the University of Utah is an ideal place in which to invest in genomic science.
