You're wrong there investor, Melton is not more than a necessary puppet for Daniels, since he is an ex-con he cannot legally run the business as the CEO so he needs a "Manchurian" CEO.
FYI, this is not Daniel's "first business" nor the first puppet he has had, his last puppet, also a woman, actually sued him for that very reason, Daniels was calling the shots for that company same as in OWOO.
