As part of this partnership, CEA will develop at the site of Bure-Saudron and the CEA Grenoble, a pretreatment process chain to be ground into a fine powder, pressurize, dosing and conveying of solid biomass (wood waste in particular).

According innovative methods proposed by CEA, this mechanical pretreatment of biomass will reduce energy expenditure, compared to competitors thermal pretreatments such as roasting or pyrolysis.
