I work with the chart as much as I can-- but I am like you in a desire to close trades within a few sessions. I do have a time cap on the options trades although I have rolled a few losing positions to gain more time. If I have shares, I have more leeway and can hold for a few months though (i.e. I am in F since the end of August)
