Hi 2!

And thanks.

I like the first one you sent me better (probably because I understand it). The stops are obvious like you said. I will play with that one to tweak it so that too many alerts don't give me brain damage.

I completely don't understand where to put the settings in the second one. Would you be looking for high volume in that pattern. Where would you put the rabbit? Anyway, I might not use this one.

But I was thinking of trying one with just the rabbit only, setting it low and high to see what came out.

I would be interested, perhaps, in reading a more detailed manual on the intricacies of the settings on each of the alerts and filters, if one is available. For example on volatility. On some of your pre-set screens the % is used instead of $ amount. And I just don't have the time to play with each and adjust them to see what happens.

Your help page is useful in telling the 'what', but not the 'why'. I imagine that playing with the settings on each of the alerts and filters would change the results greatly.

By the way, I came up with one to play the gaps in the morning.

25% pullback from low .75
25% pullback from high .75
cross daily high
cross daily low
cross above open confirmed
cross below open confirmed
gap down reversal .20
gap up reversal .20
false gap up retracement 20%
false gap dn retracement 20%
30 and 60 minute open range breakout
30 and 60 minute open range breakdown
nr7
minimum daily volume
minimum current volume ratio 1.75
minumum volatility .2 %
minumum gap up .50

it gives me about 40 or stocks during the day
I know if it gaps and keeps going
I know if it reverses
I know if it makes a little 'u' and keeps going
I know if it makes a big 'u' or 'v'
I know if it crosses the open either way

A couple of interesting things. If I try to make it just the opposite, it's not very good.

If I put the volatility in $ instead of %, it's not very good either.

So anyway I appreciate your help. I promise I won't do this to you every day, just once in a while!

Thanks,
Bob
