A link? That is ridiculous. Do the police issue PR's telling the public (and the suspects) who they are investigating? Of course not. So why do you expect the FBI and DOJ to do the same?

That automatically results in a formal SEC investigation, and if criminal violations are found in the course of the investigation, the DOJ is informed and often will launch their own parallel criminal investigation.
