Still no confirmation of a failure other than posts from other message boards. I gave up attempting to confirm this and instead looked into the likely worst case scenario.

I found out more information about mini evacs in general from the FAA. Apparently, it's not uncommon to fail this test and the slides occasionally don't deploy properly. When this occurs corrections are made and retests are performed. It's not like some sort of elimination where they need to start over. It's more like part of the process.

So...even IF the rumors were true. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, they would retest and move on. We would still be only weeks away from certification.
