Looks like a nice pps finish. Hope people got out with some profit.

Moments ago with Samsung Live Chat... may have invalidated my theories while opening a whole nother can of worms...sheesh. See the second chat below this one.

kitt: Hello, my name is Kitt and I need some clarification about downloading apps to the new UHD Samsung TV's. I don't have mine yet. After I buy my UHD set, can I go to the internet and download other apps not listed in the Samsung store? Am I only allowed to download apps from Samsung store explicitly? Can I load a app saved on a thumbdrive from my friends TV if I don't have internet access at some point? My new Samsung will be installed in my basement and I'm not sure if my wireless setup will be good enough right now, that's why I need to know if I can load in apps by usb.

kitt: So, if I'm understanding this, I am not allowed to go to the internet to find an app, and if it's not listed on the Samsung store right now, I can't load one in using the TV's usb port?

kitt: Store the app? I just want to load one in to use instantly.

Vain K: Only the apps that are available on the TV can be accessed.

kitt: I understand accessing the app, but I can't load one of mine into the menu to use?

Vain K: Yes. You cannot load your apps on to the TV.

kitt: Okay thanks, I think I understand better, looks like I might have a bit of a problem in my basement then. I was hoping for some way to load other apps not on the Samsung store onto my TV.

kitt: Here's a thought... can I upload a 3rd party app to the Samsung store THEN download it to my TV.?

Vain K: No. The apps that are compatible with the Samsung TV are can be loaded on to the TV.

Vain K: I will provide you a link that helps you in finding the apps compatible with the TV. It helps you in finding the apps for the TV.

kitt: Okay, thanks... I just saw a few apps on someone's Samsung TV on their screen but the apps aren't in the Samsung store, how would that be possible?

Now from moments ago as well...although the answers make sense, I'm starting to believe it's an intelligent computer program where they just look for key words and have a canned respose.
