Another reason why I got as far away from Seattle as I could ..........

Murray refers to ‘the murder of Mr. Brown’ and ‘tremendous hurt’
Posted on November 24, 2014 | By Joel Connelly

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, reacting Monday night to events in Ferguson, Missouri, referred to “the murder of Mr. Brown” and said that many outside the African American community share the “tremendous hurt” at a grand jury’s decision not to indict the police officer who killed the teen.

Hey Mayor if you pulled your head out of your ass long enough to educate yourself you'd realize the so called witnesses didn't witness the true part of the shooting it was nothing more then the RACE card being played saying what they did under oath the truth came out.
But you like your buddy obamafraud you are only interested in dividing this country.

Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole: “Seattle is different. This is a very special place.”

You got that right Chief. You were hired to ENFORCE the law not bow down to the race card & protesters as they got on the freeway last night stopping traffic you need to GROW up and do your job.

Known for his blunt rap about race, the mayor argued that American society is “failing young African-American men,” and said it is time to “recommit us to making this a more just city. … Our community is committed to racial and social justice in all areas.”

Failing black man? They have more opportunities in Seattle then my WHITE son has but hey just keep giving them the victim card the majority of them love to use it. Just keep dividing the city by your IGNORANCE!!!

Murray modified his remark shortly after his news conference.

“If he said ‘murder’, he intended to say ‘death’,” press secretary Jason Kelly said after checking with Murray.

What a joke. No Murry meant what he said cause he is an ignorant fool whom when this incident went down couldn't even tell the witnesses were all using the race card. You should be apologizing to the police Officer and I hope he sues you for slander you ungrateful piece of dirt.

Still, the anger in Seattle’s streets also found expression on the 7th floor of City Hall.

“Tonight we are all Michael Brown and make no mistake, the outrage is real,” said State Senator-elect Pramila Jayapal, who represents the majority-minority 37th District.

The death and drama is not unique to Ferguson but reflects “a failure of the system,” Jayapal added, a system in which unarmed kids die at the hands of “those whose duty is to protect them.”

Unarmed kids DESERVE to die when they try to get a policemens gun.
It's really that simple. But you out of your IGNORANCE and trying to get votes for next election continue to divide the people instead of being truthful.

The mayor and city officials appealed for peace, promised to in Murray’s words “facilitate the right to protest,” and pledged not to militarize the streets of Seattle.

Exactly. You will continue to say to the tax payers, the business owners, we will just let these thugs destroy people's lives and the hell with their businesses, their insurance costs, the tax payers right to drive down a freeway they paid for so you can be MR PC Capital of the world.

“We have had over 300 demonstrations in the city this year, and only two or three of them have resulted in arrests,” Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole said. “Here in Seattle, we are in the forefront of a new approach to public order.”

You are not ENFORCING the law & need to be fired IMMEDIATELY!

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray feels that preschool will be most important action of his term.
Seattle Mayor Ed Murray: American society is “failing young African-American men.”
Seattle has, of course, been through its own catharsis, the Aug.30, 2010, shooting by an SPD officer of native woodcarver John T. Williams on a downtown street. As with Ferguson, no charges were brought against Officer Ian Birk. He resigned from the force.

The U.S. Justice Department has, however, forced the city to revamp its training of officers and its approach to defusing potentially violent situations.

The city is still, as Murray put it Monday, “far from perfect.” But, as newcomer O’Toole added, “Seattle is different. This is a very special place.” The chief, a former Boston police commissioner, said Seattle should be “a beacon of hope” in how it responds and listens to anger among its citizens.

Estella Ortega, director of El Centro de la Raza, argued echoed Jayapal’s argument that the justice system is not working for people of color, but argued that anger must be coupled with calculation. “Non-violence makes sure our story is told,” Ortega said.

Former State Rep. Dawn Mason argued that women must provide an impetus for non-violent response. She praised O’Toole for appointing an African American woman as an assistant chief, and chided Murray for not having an African American woman in his cabinet.

Murray ended by reiterating the right to protest, and that Seattle will not repeat the heavy-handed police tactics seen previously on the streets of Ferguson.

“As you saw in May Day, the heaviest equipment was a bicycle,” he said.

And you Mayor Murray are the perfect example of everything that is wrong with leadership. When the thugs know their is no accountability for their actions they will continue to be thugs. Perfect example for that is the thugs know they can get busted three times for car theft before any jail time. Thus we have an unbelievable amount of car thefts around here because of people like you whom are CLUELESS to the consequences of ACCOUNTIBILITY!

Your IGNORANCE is running a muck!

Really? Never would have guessed this ..........
