SAMSUNG Exclusives: DirecTV, M-GO, now ULTRAFLIX

edit: "exclusive" until SONY, VIZIO catches up at least. NUVOLA NP-1 owners have had ULTRAFLIX for a while now.

Quote below from "Samsung Joins Forces With DirecTV and M-GO To Provide 4K Programming"

My Take: The move by Samsung to provide access to more 4K content is definitely welcomed, but on the other hand, I hope that both the DirecTV and M-GO "exclusive" agreements with Samsung don't last too long as although they serve to boost Samsung's 4K market penetration, they don't serve to expand 4K offerings across the board to all 4K Ultra HD TV owners.

To get things off the ground, I see the need for some exclusive partnerships that can test the waters, iron out any bugs, and get customer feedback. However, in order to get consumers to really embrace 4K, at a reasonable point content services need to be TV-brand agnostic, and TV brands need to be content service agnostic. If not, consumer confusion will result with regards to what brand 4K Ultra HD TVs match up with the VOD and Online Services they desire.

..but ULTRAFLIX on the other hand, if you have a SONY, VIZIO, SAMSUNG (or most other UHD TV Manufacturer TV Sets) UHD TV -OR- the NUVOLA NP-1 - you have UNIVERSAL 4K Streaming Service.\

Ah, good to be NTEK/ULTRAFLIX. Great timing.
