No doubt highly talented/experienced individuals can help make an organization successful, or singularly add tremendous value based on their name recognition and past performance.
In this case, however, my original objection was more because of the possible "perception" of nepotism and how the market may feel about this, rather than a critique of Ms. Hargrove's qualifications and experience. Also, we are a small public company which will be highly scrutinized by investors and analysts of all sorts.
But, you are right, she does seem suited for the duties they have described as a consultant.
