EDIT BTW would love to understand your choices on what to play when you go in at or near the open.I make too many mistakes trying to judge direction so I have been waiting to see enough chart data to try to identify a trade set up. Result has been either still going the wrong way or missing the move or getting in too late and watching it churn all day going nowhere. Maybe post some thoughts pre market if you have any ideas. I need all the help I can get at this point or I'm going to be done for good soon.

You did play that very well. With that chunk in the bank it's easier to stay patient. SPY still fading too so you could get a sharp move down as peeps just bail out or give up before the close.
