COULD JESUS HAVE SINNED?

In the article you posted by Bonnie Ricks, she states Could Jesus be tempted? No. Not in the way that you and I are"

Response: Knowing the people on this board, I am sure someone has responded w/ Heb 4.15 - "...but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."

If Jesus was not capable of being tempted to sin that why did Satan spend 40 days with Him in the wilderness trying to get Him to sin?

When God came to earth in the flesh, He chose to voluntarily put aside some of the attributes of His Deity. For instance, His omniscience, for we read in Lu 2.52 - 'And Jesus increased in wisdom and staure...'

How could an all-knowing Being increase in wisdom, unless He laid aside His omniscience?

I believe Christ did it as an example for us. It would have done nothing for us if He had used His sovereignty & omnipotence to get through His 33 years, because those manifestations of His power are not available to us.

Instead He chose to be a prayer warrior, relying on the power of the Spirit to do the will of the Father. Isn't that what we are supposed to do? What an Example!
