Sibanye also exercised the option to acquire, on favourable terms, Southgold Exploration Proprietary Limited (“Southgold”), the sole owner of the Burnstone gold mine (“Burnstone”) located in the South Eastern Wits Basin. Sibanye has reinterpreted the geology of the Burnstone resource and is reviewing the operational plan. A detailed plan will be released in due course.
