Good analysis. I too was involved in a similar situation where the Council was actually split, but wanting to try to appease all sides (we actually won the vote), we decided that we were going to help the Fire Department buy a new truck, and help the High School with a new Gym. The civic activities, along with working with the village to develop a master plan for the future growth, slowly built trust and won them over. we had an option of potentially going nuclear with lawsuits etc, but even if we had to, the gain would have been bad blood, and who really needed that.
The economy downturn brought our company to its knees for a few years, and lo and behold, the village was a big supporter in our recovery because they realized the benefit we created in mutual need.
My point is, maybe Creative Edge can 'walk that walk' so to speak, and develop some civic programs, so that maybe they would reap a mutual reward. Sounds like bribery(!), but not really if the regular folks in the town benefit.
