DABOSS, Dell went public in 1988 the same year Norris Communications (now e.Digital) began. Look at where Dell is now ($25 billion in sales) vs where EDIG is ($65 million in accumulated losses).
Michael Dell's vision and business concept worked and he is a feared competitor as the article quoted. Michael, the founder, continues to lead the company.
NCII/EDIG on the other hand has had many business concepts and strategies, none of which has been successful. The founder, Woody Norris, walked away from the company altogether and the current CEO is a junior college dropout with no background of success. IMO, it's clear that Falk is not capable of achieving the great things you predict for EDIG.
I don't know the specific gross profit margin Dell achieved in its first year. However, why is that relevant? EDIG is 15 years old and gross profit and losses are worse today than ever. I expect that the 10K due at the end of the month will show the biggest loss in the 15-year history of the company.
