Doc D-- don't mis-understand, I do NOT think its DMRJ shorting. It was presented as a possible explanation simply because Nowak presented it...so its a broad discussion.

In terms of market maker holding the price in line in order to fill a large order at a certain price, then THAT too could be strategic.

I have never seen market maker stand in the way of immense desire to own the stock, but SURE, it could be that also. But that can be confirmed going thru the tape and looking for a huge fill at the end of the day. I didn't see that fill.

To my mind, the short side has been and still is driven by strategic interest with a few tag along disgruntled ex-shareholders and some like minded retail shorters. Make no doubt, they are fast to cover...but selling 100 share lots at a fixed price without a huge single fill, well that sends the bloodhound off the path of massive concerted retail shorting.

Best of Better LUCK TO ALL IMSC LONGS!
