In this case I think that the NDA was to keep folks from comparing notes and revealing the scam. A sad narrative on reality IMO. And no, it was not to protect the "technology" as that has already been disclosed to the world. You just have to look for it. After all, just where do you think Foster and Robinson came up with it in the first place?
