WRONG! I've been in product development and manufacturing for just a bit shy of 30 years. In that time I have NEVER been associated with a project where the company forgoes rigorous testing and instead sells the product in the expectation of finding out where the product is deficient. I have seen projects were customers are given a product to test for free for a fixed period of time and the customer is expected to keep a detailed operating log; I have no idea how you sell a product and then require a customer to work for you as an unpaid test engineer.

If the point of the exercise really is to use the experience to improve the product, you need a rigorous protocol in order to harvest significant results. If the product is not adequately developed and requires such testing, it seems morally questionable to sell the product in order to obtain such testing....especially given Cyclone's "Fantastic" warranties. These basically state, "if you take possession, it's your mistake."
