I've had a margin account with Ameritrade since 96. I used to daytrade and swing trade long and short on margin off of longterm long and short positions. I did pretty good, but after awhile shorting started bugging me.Somthing about making money while people get laid off and watching their 401K's and retirement money vanish just didn't appeal to me, so I quit the shorting. That left me with few options these past few years. Since the begining of this year I play only the stocks that we love so much on this board. And I'm making more money then I used to and I sleep better at night. I still have my margin account but I don't use the margin, so I don't get charged anything and no margin calls.My shares can be used for shorting, but my positions aren't big enough to matter.For me having a margin account isn't that bad. Also I like Apex. I used to pay $90 per month for about the same as Apex now gives me for free. Anyway ,Take Care and lets make some money tomorrow (I see greenbacks smacking us in the face LOL!)
