It's hard to say what's going on since you're so vague on details. A few problems for you may be:
you don't have enough in your margin acct to write any options, you don't have enough margin to cover your spread, etc.
Iron condors are basically (2) separate credit spreads (call and put side) and you profit if the underlying falls within your spreads on expiration. Iron condors will limit your profits, while limiting your risk.

One question if I may. Every time I try to place an order it tells me I have insufficient funds.
Question: how much do I need in my account to place 1 contract for AMAT iron condor. Thanks
