Everyone and everything has flaws. Having critics is a good thing because I believe that is how we grow, specifically in business, by illuminating these flaws, making corrections, and building a stronger business.

You are correct in that being critical and bashing are two entirely separate things. If a company stubs its corporate toe, then by all means, that should be pointed out so as to better that entity for the long-term.
