ALGA Issued Alert by Ludlow Research Based on Expansion into Medical Marijuana, Election Results
Last Updated: Nov. 06, 2014 - 7:00am EST

(NEW YORK)--Algae International Group, Inc. (OTC:ALGA), through its operating subsidiary American Seed & Oil Company, Inc., announced that Ludlow Research has issued a research opinion of the company based on pending expansion into medical marijuana partnership, and recent legal hemp harvest in the State of Vermont.

In late October, the Company announced they had entered into a partnership agreement with an organization licensed in the State of Maine to grow medical marijuana, with additional plans to establish early brand recognition in the medical marijuana market place.

This expansion comes on the heels of their news earlier in month announcing they had conducted one of the largest legal hemp harvests in Vermont if nearly 60 years. This harvest not only moves ALGA into hemp production operations, but also positions ALGA as one of the main legal sources of hemp seeds within the state, as hemp seeds are still regulated from import export under current Federal drug laws.

In addition, recent election results saw approval for the legalization of marijuana in the States of Oregon, Alaska, and Washington DC. Under the Oregon bill, there was also the approval to legalize the production of hemp as an industrial commodity, and this could open the door for ALGA to potentially expand operations to this state once laws come into affect.

ALGA current has approximately 31 million common shares issued and outstanding, with a float of around 500,000. The Company is not fully reporting with the SEC, but does maintain ‘current’ tier status with OTC Markets, LLC.

Valuation Target

Coming up with a proper price valuation target for ALGA may be difficult based on the stocks current low float. Based on such a low float, a price valuation at even $1.00 may be justifiable as the company works to roll-out their hemp and medical marijuana projects, but with so little shares available, and the demand for shares in marijuana plays from sector traders, the ability to correctly calculate an actual price valuation is a bit more difficult to predict based on the laws of supply and demand. But, just based on the low float, a price of $1.50 to $2.00 wouldn't be out of the question here.

To get an idea of similar companies active within the hemp market you can look at Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC:MJNA), ID Global Corp (OTC:IDGC), and Discovery Minerals, LTD (OTC:DSCR).
