I think I finally understand why Radio Shack can't close any stores to reduce their cash burn

They will need to keep all existing stores open because of the carpeting paint, drywall are worthless but they are going to have actually pay thousands of dollars per closed store to replace and refurbish for the next tenants

RSH wants to close stores. Under their old T&C with lenders they were not able to close the magnitude of stores they needed to close in order to stem the losses from unprofitable stores. Now, with new lenders and new T&C's, we will probably see a plan put out to close a large number of stores.

I guarantee it is more costly to keep those stores open and losing money rather than pay one time costs to "demo" a store.

I think I finally got it (slapping forehead) and will sell my shares first thing in the morning and then "go short"

Good luck as always. Had a few successful trades over the summer and am comfortably watching from the sidelines. Morbid curiosity over RSH's fate.
