Believe me, if I knew ANYTHING about the ebola trials, I would share; but, unfortunately, I do not.

You are correct: Vical could have/should have addressed this; but, perhaps it was a conscious decision not to. Since they did not mention it, perhaps we can infer that there is nothing going on. Had they mentioned it (and said something along the lines that they are not "interested" in pursuing the ebola issue), perhaps the stock price would have been adversely affected, I don't know (speculation). But if they ARE still pursuing the ebola effort, then saying something about it during the CC would have been an absolutely perfect opportunity. My feeling is that by remaining silent on it means that they are not dedicating any energy in this effort.
