The Francisco Sugar Company was incorporated in New Jersey in 1899, to harvest sugar products on Camagüey land holdings in Cuba. The company’s operations were seized by Fidel Castro when he nationalized the country’s sugar industry.
The company was one of many Cuban sugar interests held by the Braga Brothers (B. Rionda Braga’s printed signature appears on this piece) prior to the Castro regime.
