Are you familiar with Car talk?

I been reading them for years.

They normally say it like it is when it comes to dealership prices.

Normally when asked this question they will remind the person they can get it done for half the price at a non dealer mechanic.

Also lot of times they will say go find your part then have mechanic install it saving more $$$$$$$$$$$.

I would never use a dealership as I don't feel like paying for their fancy pants show room, secretary, TV's, etc.

I have a private mechanic for $70.00 an hour which is about $30.00 to $50.00 less then a business garage in town.

He works out of a three car garage with an add on building for general parts and just enough room for a desk with no waiting room no big overhead.
