Recapped the new distribution; stated there were now sales reps hired in some states (not specified how many or in which states particularly). Excited about NY expansion. Talked some about the ad in Times Square - Dan mentioned Margrit went to see it (did he say 'hear' it as well?) and called the offices very excited.

Have to say, having watched the screen this past week - not as impressive as it sounds, primarily due to: (1) location; and (2) there isn't any sound on the Times Square ads, and the Marani commercial is images and sounds, but no written words - frankly, it's very difficult to tell much about the product via this venue. IF there were ads already running that folks had seen elsewhere - television, for example - then the jumbo screen would be a solid 'reminder' message. As a first foray, the structure of the ad does not lend itself well to this medium. I stood for about ten minutes awaiting the ad itself - then spent some time watching passersby to see who looked at the board itself, for how long, etc., just to get an anecdotal reading on how many folks actually stopped to take notice, and for how long, etc. Not scientific of course - but overall it doesn't generate as much notice as one might surmise. Again - it's good as an 'additional' method; to really work the ad is going to have to be presented by some other means as a primary vehicle.

No mention from Dan on 'television' ads or 'national' advertising campaign using the commercial - seems for now to have gone the way of wines and brandy.....
