If you read to the end you will see Sigma mentioned. I have a somewhat different take on the mentioning of Sigma in that I do not believe that Sigma can not cooperate with Weld3D nor license or sell the Sigma technology to Weld3D.

My take away is that the metal printing technology is likely to grow rapidly and decrease in the threshold cost for many companies. The need for quality parts and reliability in the build will remain constant regardless of lasers, electron beams, arc welding or any other method of welding. PrintRIte could play a part in all of it. Time will tell.
