Raytheon lands $205M Phalanx upgrade contract

Raytheon (NYSE:RTN) has been awarded a multi-year bulk buy $205M contract to provide Phalanx Close-in Weapon Systems upgrade kits, support equipment and hardware spares to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
Phalanx is a rapid-fire, computer-controlled radar and 20 mm gun system that automatically acquires, tracks and destroys threats that have penetrated all other ship defense systems.
