Just wrote to customer service complaining that it was unfair for them to place shares in a placeholder account where they were not accessable, only to return them to the same ticker account and bill me for a buy and a sell order on it! I said I felt it was a rip-off for them to do so.

They wrote back and said that while it was a valid charge according to terms of use, they would reverse the charge on a one-time-only case for me for this.
