$ECOP news from yesterday!

Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCQB: ECOP) Announces $1.0 Million Phase 2 Rancho Santiago Community College LED Lighting Retrofit Project in Santa Ana California

CAMBRIDGE, ON, Oct 27, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Eco-Shift Power Corp (OTCQB: ECOP) -- ECOP's wholly-owned subsidiary, Sun & Sun Industries Inc ("Sun"), has been awarded a $1.0 million Phase 2 energy efficiency lighting project with Rancho Santiago Community College District at the Santiago Canyon College Campus. Phase 2 includes replacement of exterior fixtures with new LED fixtures and a retrofit of interior fixtures with LED kits. The total value of Phase 2 is $1.0 million, bringing total of both phases to $2.1 million.

"The Santa Ana College project demonstrates Sun's ability to win projects funded by the multi-billion dollar Proposition 39 funding and deliver on large-scale and complex projects," stated Steven Wong, Sun's National Account Manager. "We were very happy to be awarded Phase 2 of this project and are dedicated to ensuring that our client remains impressed with our service," exclaimed Wong. "Sun Industries has been very successful at getting repeat business from clients given our dedication to excellence" noted Wong.

Sun is also pleased to announce the successful completion of the Phase 1 lighting retrofit project, which involved replacing over 6000 fixtures with LED products at the Rancho Santiago Community College District: Santa Ana College in California. Sun was recently acquired by ECOP and will continue to operate as ECOP's California and US business unit.

The $1.0 million dollar Phase 1 project was funded through the California Clean Energy Jobs Act (Proposition 39). Sun Industries was awarded the project due to competitive pricing, expertise in lighting retrofits, and a history of successful projects in the MUSH sector (municipalities, universities, schools, and hospitals).

Sun's ongoing success with Prop 39 projects is a result of the company's experience and depth of services aligning perfectly with the preferential award criteria. Sun's bid responses entail a 21 year history of over 115 retrofit projects across the United States, totalling $21 million with an average project size of $500 thousand completed in schools and universities. Sun Industries is an ideal candidate for any K-12 or Community College District implementing an energy savings project. Sun is equipped with highly trained professional lighting design staff and a project staffing plan for 100% on-site project management combined with an in-house team of California Certified Lighting Technicians.

The Phase 1 project included a complete pre-field verification at the Santa Ana College Campus, a construction grade audit, and a review of proposed lighting layouts. Sun also assisted in fine tuning the exterior lighting specification during the construction phase. Inefficient (400-1000 Watt) HID parking lot and walkway fixtures were replaced with new (225-295 Watt) LED fixtures. New (40 Watt) LED canopy fixtures were installed in exterior walkways of a multilevel instructional building. A variety of interior T8 fluorescent fixtures throughout the entire campus were retrofit with high efficiency LED retrofit kits.

Sun's experience with the California Clean Energy Jobs Act (Proposition 39)

Sun Industries has extensive experience in delivering lighting retrofit projects to the MUSH sector, which in California are often funded by California Clean Energy Jobs Act (Proposition 39). Relying on its core competencies and market place knowledge, Sun continues to capture new projects and establish relationships for future business. Public bid announcements are made for all energy efficient lighting retrofit Proposition 39 projects. Contractors who meet the minimum requirements of licensing, demonstrated project history, and operational capabilities are eligible to bid. Beyond the standard requirements, preference for award is given to contractors with experience in educational facilities, the capabilities to provide value added design, and the ability to self-perform the construction phase with in-house labor. According to Wong, "We are very pleased with our performance and reputation for successfully delivering Prop 39 projects and look forward to increasing our presence in this space in 2015."

About the California Clean Energy Jobs Act (Proposition 39)

The California Clean Energy Jobs Act (Prop. 39) allocates roughly $550 million annually (approximately $2.75 billion over 5 years) for eligible projects to improve energy efficiency and expand clean energy generation in schools.
