Enough is enough, folks. I, for one am quite ill regarding the attitudes of the mayor and his minions. At one time they were thrilled that one man would invest twenty million dollars of hard earned cash to improve their town's tax base, employment opportunities, real estate market, etc.. Now they have done a reversal and are throwing up every road block that they seem to think is available to them. What they are contemplating is criminal fraud as well as extortion regarding F.I.T.X.. If I were the C.E.O. of F.I.T.X. I would be sitting in the State's Attorneys office demanding that the State file charges. If they do not co-operate, the F.B.I. would be my next attempt to attain justice. The State seems uninterested at this point, however a multi-million dollar law suit might rouse their interest. In addition, I am firm in my belief that the citizens would be displeased discovering that millions of dollars in tax receipts have already been lost as a result of the inability for F.I.T.X. to conduct an agricultural business on land zoned for agricultural use. An in-depth fraud investigation begs for attention. The town would have us believe that the hold up is as a result of disgruntled citizens voicing their complaints regarding noise issues, odor issues, increased traffic issues, citizen's views of the countryside modified by construction, etc.. All of these issues have been dealt with on a timely basis and have received approval by the State. On the other hand, let us look at the potential for disaster. I give you the city of Detroit, which at one time was a well founded city of the future. As a result of mismanagement, corruption, etc. Detroit is totally ruined and unfortunately will never recover. Industry has abandoned the city, the structures that once housed vehicle manufacturing plants are broken and are collapsing. The streets are clogged with trash, The remaining residents are involved in a plethora of criminal activities. Derelicts, bums, criminals, rapists, armed robbers, have taken up residence in derelict buildings in order to overwinter indoors. That is the future for the buildings built by F.I.T.X. if they are not put to use in manufacturing. The citizens of the fair city in question will become accustomed to residential burglaries, auto thefts, wives and daughters being assaulted and perhaps raped in their front yards by the trash that will take up residence in the abandoned F.I.T.X. buildings. The chain link fence that at one time caused such controversy will be pulled down to give easy access for the criminals living in the structures. The fantastic views so loved by the residents will be permanently blocked by the steel bars covering the windows and doors that will become necessary in order to keep the criminal element out. The next event that the citizens will observe is the plummeting real estate values, the closing of businesses on main street, if they have a main street. A great many former residents will be bailing out, leaving a ghost town. It is difficult to believe that the folks that live there cannot project this for themselves. The largest problem is somehow coming up with the cash to satisfy the liens on every structure, vehicle, travel trailer, etc.. in town to somehow repay F.I.T.X. the twenty million dollars they will owe pursuant to the winning of the law suit. I have had conversation with my attorney's and they assure me that there is no way that the city can be triumphant. The Mayor and his Minions conned F.I.T.X. into investing a very large amount of cash and did in fact make certain promises, that are verifiable and witnessed in word and in writing. Now they wish to change the deal, blaming a few whiners that live in the community. I believe that F.I.T.X. has been too kind and now it is time to end this nonsense. I agree with the immediate filing of a multi-million dollar law suit incorporating the city as well as the state. These folks do not have a prayer and a number of officials will be dismissed as a result of their inaction. So long folks. See you in hell.
