And once successful with the project, the percentage for commercialization increases, as approval by FDA is almost certain along with a partnership.
The decision to fund any given grant is made by the institute director based on scientific merit, relevance to the NLM mission (U.S. National Library of Medicine), with recommendations of the NLM Board of Regents and availability of funds.
