You bring up a good point Frog....others may have their own methods of identifying meaningful and associated SNP's & AIM's.
To address the board....do we know if any of these other 'few' companies have patents for their respective methods? If not then I'd suppose we have a leg-up on the competition....
....put simply - a patent is validation that our process actually works.

In the very least I see potential in that newcomer companies looking to jump on the SNP-AIM-search bandwagon now have the option of going with a validated intellectual property....for a fee of course :].
